Established in 1972, Camp Renegade is proud to offer one of Florida’s most advanced and most respected child-care programs for students ages 6 – 12. Our programs carry the special distinction of having received national accreditation by both the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA).

Child-Care Professionals and Staffing Advantages
We strive to maintain a staff-to-child ratio of one staff member for every 15 children, which is lower than the 1-to-25 ratio required by law.
We believe that smaller groups can be more safely supervised and that our child-care professionals can more readily provide individual nurturing and responsiveness to the children in their care. Most importantly, our child-care professionals are friendly, compassionate, and caring individuals whose primary concern is your child’s well-being, safety, and enjoyment.
Camp Renegade adheres to the highest staffing qualifications.
All employees are mandated to pass an FBI Level II screening and background check, including fingerprints. They are trained and certified in CPR and first aid. They have completed 40 hours of specialized
child-care training, and must refresh their training annually with 10 additional hours of in-service educational programs.
For your child’s safety, professional staff mechanics maintain our buses, which are inspected to meet the standards set by the State of Florida. Bus drivers are provided with onboard communication. All bus drivers possess commercial driver licenses, are drug tested, certified by Red Cross, and trained in CPR.

Camp Renegade’s regulation-size school buses transport children from their schools to our three North Broward facilities and to the day’s scheduled excursion.
Children are grouped according to their current grade. Upon arrival at our facilities, children are served a
nutritious after-school snack. Each day, enriching activities are scheduled between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. For the convenience of parents and children alike, a quiet, supervised environment for homework time is provided on-site between 5:00 and 6:30 p.m.
On Early Release Days, students are picked up when school is dismissed. Full-day field trips are offered on school holidays and during winter and spring breaks.
